Canadian David Altmejd (b. 1974 in Montreal,
lives in New York) has created one of the most spectacular works of recent
years in sculpture and installation. The 50m2 display contains
figures and formations in among other materials wax, mirrors, plaster, acrylic
paint, latex, feathers, ceramics, ink, wood, steel wire and quartz. It is a
quite extraordinary experience that sends the viewer off on a small journey
powered by curiosity, intuition and close inspection. More at Louisiana
