variations in motif and approach, Bjørn Ransve focused on the figure in space
as his primary theme from the time of his artistic debut around 1970 until the
mid – 1980s. The relation between nature as ideal and freedom of execution had
been a consistent source of tension in his images, helping to situate his work
in the art-historical context”.
