Observearts: Olafur Eliasson, "The globe"

As I entered the new headquarter of Statoil in Oslo, I was struck by "The Globe" right outside the main entrance. 

Dano-icelandic Olafur Eliasson (born 1967) is contributing a globe-shaped, metallic skeleton framework, 11 metres in diameter, which partially consists of pieces of coloured glass. Inside this globe is a smaller, similarly shaped globe. More about art at Statoil
