Fleckner: A
closet does not connect under the bed
Overgaden proudly presents Ester Fleckner’s first major solo exhibition. A central aspect of the artist’s work is her interest in the relationship between language and the body, but the physical process during which her works come into being also plays a crucial role.

The closet as metaphor and physical object is at the core of the exhibition, which includes texts, prints and drawings. Through displacement, abstraction and repetition, Fleckner probes the narratives and expectations that exist around the closet, looking for alternative understandings of the way we perceive each other and the world around us.
