In recent years the American contemporary artist Alex Israel (b. 1982, Los Angeles, USA) has attracted considerable attention in the international art scene, both for his paintings and sculptures and, not least, for his infamous interview show As It Lays.

Probably the most boring exhibitioin I've ever been to!

Israel leaves me with an absolute void: 

performing a brand produced by brand makers. 

Pop art suddenly lost all its meaning. 

An absolutely uninteresting note from one of Israels actor friends (in a frame !!)
marks the rock bottom.
Art is about something, this is pure nothing - to me.

My whife? She just wanted a sofa as she constantly tried not to fall asleep during the tour.

Museum Folkwang is holding a major exhibition on the graphic work of American artist Jim Dine (b. 1935). Dine was one of the most important Pop artists of the 1960s, and won early recognition for his art, not just in the US but internationally. The retrospective coinciding with his eightieth birthday features some 150 works – including woodcuts, lithographs, and etchings – and presents a representative survey of the artist’s work in the graphic medium, spanning more than five decades.
